Hi all,

I was playing cash game at the local casino.

Full ring table and blinds 1-2 POUNDS

I´m new to all players and all of them are new to me too.

I got dealt AT offsuit UTG and I call. UTG+2 raises to 6 pounds. Everyone else folds and I call.

Flop was A,7,J.

I checked and the other player goes all in with three times my chips.

I folded but I don´t know if this was the right move.

Was he pushing me out of the hand. Did he have A, J or a better Ace then mine?? Should I check raise in that case?

If he had a better Ace then me why the hell he went all in??

I felt a bit of a nit after this and also that people were bullying me at the table.

Any advice?

Interesting.

What would he have been raising preflop after you limped UTG. Would expect in that situation he would have fairly narrow re-raise range
AA-JJ AK AQ KQs.
Is possible he had KK or QQ and when you checked he decided you didn't have Ax, but also the chance he had even 77 JJ AA and had hit trips.
I think it is too difficult a spot to stay in.

Why would you limp UTG with ATo at a table where you don't know anyone?

And of course you will fold to an all-in in that situation. His all-in was an idiotic move if you ask me.

yeah his play makes no sense - he isnt getting called from weaker hands if he is strong, and he is isolating himself against monsters if he is weak with KK/QQ type hands. idiot lol but yeh. i dont like the limp UTG - how can you expect to put your opponents to tough decisions if you don't have the initiative? not that i play live......

if you feel like you're being pushed around it's probably because you were being too passive. if you were, then you probably were being pushed around. must be aggressive.

yeah, and we should know how much you had..any relation to the pot?

+there is a slight difference if there was a FD, as a ton of live players are just terrified when they see FD.

and another question, why would you ever limp call ATo preflop if you hit a TPGK and just fold it?then just fold it preflop

True, i used to play with guy overshoving flop everytime he had FD.
