Here's what I'm thinking:
I was chip leader at my table and about top 15 in the tournament. Still about 100 players to go before the bubble, but my aim was to get first.
My read on the Villain was he had a very strong hand. He wasn't a nit, but he got his money in there so fast... and he wasn't the type to do that with something like 27o or 67s.
I estimate his range to be AK and jacks or better, with it rarely being jacks.
Is this a fold? I have already committed 8,400 chips, but his range is more inclined to be a favourite against mine.
If I fold, I'm still chip leader, and can use that leverage. If I call and win, I'm easily chip leader and can fold to the money if I wanted to.
If I lose, I'll be an average to slightly below average stack.
Opponents aren't particularly good.
