It looks weak to not 3bet with toppair but you have to consider his range before you think about 3betting or not 3betting. Jack is really an ugly card and his raise shows strenght. He's been passive when i take a look at the stats and consider how many straights the jack completes. 79 Q9 KQ. That's a lot and you have to have a bunch of worse 2pairs to be ahead often enough againast his straight.

Most of the time he'll have the straight. The only worse 2pair he could have is JT or J8 but this combinations are less than the straights. Even 79 and Q9 are more combinations than J8 and JT are and maybe he could have slowplayed 88 although i don't think. Your hand looks strong with 2pair but your relative handstrenght just allows you to play bet/calldown.

with his AF and PFR combined ime, once he raises you can disregard any FD from his range . You are the preflop aggessor and your range hit hard this board and I doubt this sort of ultra tight palayers raise the turn with a ' mere two pair ' .So he most likely has a strong made hand and you should , as weak as it sounds ,call down from there on .

As played , once he caps turn , river is and easy check/fold ( not one that i would make ) . You need to be right just 6% of the time to make the call profitable . Pay him off and let him show you his 97 , KQ , or most likely Q9.

Given the Pot Odds on the River it's not a fold. You could say: Oh he always got the straight but 107 hands and the pot has become so big i would not say for sure he does alway have the best hand. sometimes overplayed A8 AT or something. i call the River once i did 3bet the Turn.
