Poker770's software dumped $250, claims their software couldn't have made the mistake

We can only guess, but the only thing what you can do is contact with support team and wait. Maybe someone scammed you, but as I said before, we can only guess.

My first thought was someone had hacked my account, so I checked the cashier transaction histories. Here's what I checked:
1. Pending Withdrawal: None.
2. Transaction History: Nothing suspicious.
3. Cash Table History: As expected. No buy-in remotely close to that amount.
4. Tournament History: As expected. No buy-in remotely close to that amount.

I have also never entered my password on anywhere else. My password is also 10 characters in length, and is a mixture of numbers, lower and upper case letters. Also suspicious, if I was hacked, why wouldn't they take the full amount?

I hear 2+2 got hacked recently, but do not share a password with them.

Only problem, I didn't place that bet. Why on earth would I place a bet like that?

They specified it requires "several actions" in order to post a bet. Now I'm sure something is suspicious, because as they are saying to me, there's no way I could've accidentally placed this bet. And I did not opt to place this bet myself.

I checked the Gladiator game myself after I received the message, now I'm regretting it, because prior to doing that, Gladiator was not even in my recent games. In other words, I never played it.

I'm getting very suspicious. The first time I contacted them, they ignored me completely, today I contact them, and suddenly they come up with this, which involves me actually starting the game myself, putting it in my 'history.'

were you on a public LAN or wifi when you were playing? also, did you need to install the casino software at any prior time? your computer might keep track of software installed/uninstalled in event logs. good luck.

I was playing two poker tournaments on a private non-wireless connection in my own home. The casino software is auto-installed with Poker770.

Why on earth would I bet $250 on a game that has one of the worse odds of all casino games, on purpose, with several clicks? If I was going to take some crazy risk, I'd at least do it with a game with a smaller casino edge like roulette or something.

Secondly, I've never ever placed a bet of that size in my entire history on Poker770. Never have I gambled more than 10% of my bankroll, suddenly, for no reason at all, no sudden crazy loss in tournaments/cash games to tilt me, I'd randomly bet $250 on a slot game I have absolutely no history with?

Something tell me if I tell them that though, they'll just tell me the same story.

One part is my fault, I should have never kept more than a few buy-ins on Poker770.

i'm guessing you didn't turn off the 'gladiator/blackjack' button in the poker770's table interface? that's the first and only thing you've done wrong, it seems.

Sorry for what happened to you but everyone should contact the support and ask for sidegames/casino to be disabled when playing on a site with poker and casino (if that is possible). I don't think you are going to see the money back but i wish you the best of luck!

How is it possible to turn off the side games and casino? I am starting to build a bankroll on 770 and am in constant fear of doing this now.

For what it's worth, I want to share what happened about 3 years back, when I was playing on Cardoza, now defunct, but then another i-poker site. I had only a few dollars on, almost certainly fewer than 50.
I logged on and the cash display on my screen 'jumped'. It stabilised quickly, and a slightly lesser amount was then displayed. I was not playing any casino games, I was just pondering which tournament/SNG to play. The only legitimate way this could have happened, IMHO, was if I had accidentally registered for a tournament, but I checked and I hadn't.
I raised questions, but I never got to the bottom of it.

As for the current main thread, either somebody has compromised the thread starter's details, or something v naughty is going on at 770.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure I didn't start the game, I was playing two tournaments when it came up.

It didn't show up in my recent games. It showed up there after I started it myself.

But let's say I did, somehow misclick it. It would've been impossible for me to 'configure' the game as they said when it requires multiple clicks.

But again, it's really my word against theirs :/ They claim they have logs of me placing the bet, and while they can easily forge them, even if I took it up in court, unless I had a video camera recording my computer screen I can't prove it.

I just logged in to P770, as I did my twice-a-year power on for Windows computer (normally I use Mac, thus no P770). I logged in, and voila: bankroll 0.00e

So, open account history then.

Yes, so it seems. I tried to google but I guess I just did it wrong. From Received weird e-mail from poker770. I found this 180 days, and went to check my email; there is one single mail from p770, from January 9th 2012, full of ads, no word of any expiration.

Another possibility could be someone gaining access to your account details. I would check the log details they provided - if it is at a time you weren't even at your computer then it could be that someone either stole your account data (Could be a Trojan or Virus on your computer) or guessed your password (Some people have like the same password at a poker room like they have on their email or other services). Happened to a friend of mine several years ago so i immediately had to think about it. I would ask them to provide the log details with your IP Address, sometimes you can already see by the IP that it was a 3rd person, like someone from a foreign country or so.

Wouldnt be surprised they dumped your money, the site sucks big time, i had to wait for 9 days to get the money from it to moneybookers, while other you get it a million times faster, like ladbrokes where it takes 6 hours.

Complete BS if you ask me.
