On April 26, 2012, around 7:00 GMT, within 20 minutes time, my balance moved from roughly $415 to $165.
At the time, I was participating in a $1 R/A NHLE and a $1 R/A Omaha Tournament. Neither which could've possibly costed me $250.
Updated below:
I contacted Poker770 within a hour from within the client using the contact us button (as $250 missing is very worry some). They did not respond. So two days later, I contacted them using info@poker770.co.uk, and they did respond, here's the exchange:
In summary, I definitely didn't place the bet, unless I have a second personality I'm not aware of, but they refuse to admit there's a software problem and won't return my money.
1. I explained the situation.
2. They claimed I placed a bet of 250 USD on the Gladiator casino game:
Take into consideration that while playing game code 11306905245 of Gladiator, you have chosen to bet an amount of 10 USD per each line, while having 25 active lines.
3. My reply:
Only one problem, I did not place this bet.
I was playing two poker table tournaments at this time, when I noticed suspiciously Gladiator started up on it's own. I was wondering why it did, I thought it was a mis-click, but I checked the poker770 window, but was no where near the Casino Tab.
It would've been impossible for me to have mis-clicked a bet like that.
4. They responded with:
Following your previous message, we wish to inform you that it is impossible for a game available on Poker770 to start on its own, without any action being made by a player. Moreover, take into consideration that for a casino game to be opened, and specifically the Gladiator game, several actions need to be performed in order to post a bet.
Note that Poker770 cannot be held responsible for the actions performed on a player's account as per the information listed on our website: "[...] players acknowledge that their participation in the game remains their sole responsibility and they play at their own risk."We suggest that you carefully access the games available on our site and personalize your game options according to your preference, in order to avoid any unpleasant situations.
Please feel free to contact us for any further assistance that you might need.
5. My response:
If you say placing this bet required several actions, I definitely did not place this bet.
I take full responsibility for bets I have placed, I have done so on several other sites and have never ever written a complaint.
However, in this case, I can't take responsibility because if you are saying it requires several actions I definitely did not place this bet.
6. With a followup from me:
I am sorry to bother you, but I really did not place this bet.
Please look at the attached screen capture.
The date and time in the top right corner is after the alleged bet took place.
However, if I had started the game myself, it would show up in my Recent Games, as it does now after checking the history as you suggested?
Also attached is a screen capture of my client taken today.
7.
We have checked your file once again and the bet in question appears to have been placed by you. Moreover, there were no auto-play or auto-start options enabled.
Perhaps you entered the game by mistake and clicked on "Spin" while having 25 active lines, each worth $10. This would be a plausible explanation, given that the tab that leads you back to the main window of the Lobby is placed nearby the "Spin" tab.
Furthermore, while we do not question your good faith, it is highly unlikely that a game should start on its own. Moreover, if you didn't take part in this game it would not appear in the history of your games on the Lobby.
Hoping you find this information useful we remain at your service for any questions you may have.
Any suggestions on what I should do?
