PokerStars - $0.25 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: $25.00
Hero (BB): $25.50
UTG: $27.42
CO: $43.26 (VP 20 / PR 11 / 3B 0)
BTN: $25.21

SB posts SB $0.10, Hero posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.35) Hero has A♠ A♣

fold, CO raises to $0.75, fold, fold, Hero raises to $2.62, CO calls $1.87

Flop: ($5.34, 2 players) 5♦ 8♣ T♦
Hero bets $3.12, CO calls $3.12

Turn: ($11.58, 2 players) J♥
Hero bets $7.00, CO calls $7.00

River: ($25.58, 2 players) 2♥
Hero bets $12.76 and is all-in, CO calls $12.76

I am just wondering if this is the right way to play it on NL25? Or more precisely, can I check/fold the river? Will he ever turn a made hand into a bluff? Am I just giving him a negative freeroll? Will he ever call the river with QQ/KK here after this pre-flop action?

Hello awishformore,

Yeah, not the greatest board on the river and if he is even passive guy I might skip the thin value there. But he doesn't look that good opponent and might even have something like QJ in his range and not only strong PPs therefore shouldn't be that wrong. VPIP/PFR gap is pretty wide -> indicates to rather bad player.

Best Regards.

This is a must jam on the river, if I check its to check call.

When we look at his VPIP - PFR gap i normally presume these kind of guys like calling.

I dont expect him to fold Tx or QJ/J9. I imagine he raises 55/88/TT at some point and probably JT too
