Villain is LAG, villain usually donks with draws but tends to donk smaller

Villain (MP3) 9K eff
Hero (CO) 9K bb eff Q :club:K :spade:

Preflop (t300)
folds, MP3 calls t200, Hero raises to t800, BU folds, SB folds, BB folds, MP3 calls t600

Flop (t1900) Q :heart:8 :heart:T
MP3 bets t1500, Hero raises to t3750, MP3 raises all-in t8200eff, Hero Calls t4450

Spoiler

Villain shows A :diamond:Q :club:

On the flop folding to the donk is way too weak IMO, so I can either 3b and commit myself or call and re-evaluate the turn and c/f to continued aggression. I don't see how I can play it any other way though tbh against a LAG villain who can easily have weaker Qx, draws or various combo draws.

Also I only 2.5x it on the flop to induce my opponent to shove over the top with draws. I felt that if I had made it 3x or like 4k he would notice that I am never folding to a raise so he may be less inclined to shove marginal holdings since he knows that he has no fold equity.

Thanks in advance

Preflop isolation is fine, but I would size it bit smaller, 700 is enough.

In flop folding is too weak without good reads on his sizing or some live game reads. So you have two options. Either call or shove and personally I like more to just call. Stacks are too shallow for raise-folding so no real point in that versus this bet size.

what is our plan for the tunr in case of a call though? fold to continued aggression. There are some awful turn cards for us are there not?

Isn't value / protection line more important than taking a pot control or WAWB approach?

You have to ask how many worse hands this villain is going to continue with if you raise/shove? Benefit of calling is that you will keep his range wider (also keep his possible air hands in his range) and then evaluate turn. Do you have any reads on his turn approach? Villain loves to double barrel with his semi bluff hands or he will most of time shutdown? Nothing wrong in folding turn if he continue his strong line imo.

Ah I see the principle there. Well tbh villain usually donks smaller with draws as well so when he went 2/3. Something felt wrong.

Thanks for the feed back
