4NL - getting 3B by same villain

not sure if this is in the right subforum. sorry if it should be moved.

these 3 hands were on 2 different tables in about 25 minute period.
Villain is the same guy in each hand.
his 3B stats are
EP 25% (1 of 4)
MP 6.3% (1 of 16)
CO 10.5% (2 of 19)
BTN 10% (2 of 20)
SB 7.7% (2 of 26)
BB 7.1% (2 of 28)

he also 3B me back in Feb when we played together.

in our only big hand together he stacked me once (set over set) - it was not a 3B pot.

I find it suspicious that I have seen him 3B 10 times in 379 hands and four of the 10 are against me.

over our brief history, I have been the PFR 9 times, and 4 of those 9 he has 3B me. each time I folded.

each time he 3B me, he had position.
each time he folded, he was in SB or BB.

I ended up leaving those tables and sitting down somewhare where he was not playing.
I would probably be ok w/ him at the table if I had position.

obviously, he sees me as an ATM now where he can make regular 12 cent withdrawals.
or is the sample too small & I am being paranoid?

I guess I need to play back at him, but I hate to play big pot OOP.

suggestions?
or should I just keep running away?

he is my biggest nemesis right now.
against him I am -5.54 (most of which was the set over set)
I have never won more than his BB !

Hello William340,

Usually try to catch position on him rather being OOP. If he 3bets light then start to fight back and threw some 4bets and see how he adjusts. :) 4bet/Fold is still possible as well vs high 3bet guy.

Best Regards.

well, just due to bad luck/seating I am always a few seats to his right at best.
so he's only OOP when he's in the blinds.

it's funny, I am afraid to raise/steal his blinds because of his aggression, but I see he's never 3B me from blinds.
he obviously was "getting in my head".

the problem is, I have no idea what hands I would 4B him with.
you shouldn't be surprised considering my 3 bet "range" consists of about 3 hands right now.

I guess hands w/ A or K for blockers are a good place to start.
but I am not sure what would play well OOP in a 4B pot if he just calls.

and I am worried if I go down this road, I'm going to be giving him a lot more than 12 cents.

Just easy to start with would be with blockers as you said yourself and then adjust according the opponent. But overall if you don't feel comfortable then just wait which is going to bring you enough of profit in long run. :) They will you pay off anyways on those stakes.
