CO: $10 (100 bb)
BTN: $10 (100 bb)
SB: $15.23 (152.3 bb)
BB: $11.83 (118.3 bb)
UTG: $8.18 (81.8 bb)
Hero (MP): $13.88 (138.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with T 8
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.40, 2 folds, SB calls $0.35, BB calls $0.30

Flop: ($1.20) 5 4 J (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($1.20) 9 (3 players)
SB bets $0.80, BB calls $0.80, Hero folds

River: ($2.80) A (2 players)
SB bets $1.80, BB folds

Results: $2.80 pot ($0.13 rake)
Final Board: 5 4 J 9 A
SB mucked and won $2.67 ($1.47 net)
BB mucked and lost (-$1.20 net)

BB is a fish, SB is an unknown.

Do I have enough implied odds to call turn? By my calculations, if we discount 2 of our outs we have to be able to get at least $2.80 on the river if we hit to make the call. Given the fact that BB is a fish and I assume the SB to have a somewhat strong range could I call? I also am not necessarily behind if the FD completes.

Hello Avatars91,

Usually I'd rather CB the flop with some backdoor draws rather than Call the turn when we most likely don't have that great implied odds and maybe even reversed implied odds cause the Q could give opponent a better straight.

Best Regards.
