Here I called a raise from the big stack on the bubble with AQ.

Usually I will be folding anything less than JJ better with a decent stack.

Here though I had 4.3 BB left with 2 other players on 5 BB.

I feel that in that situation I will be ahead most of the times. Also once you win you instantly become the big stack and can exploit your the bubble yourself.

On Game, $1 Buy-in (300/600 blinds, 60 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 4 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

CO: 3,033 (5.1 bb)
BTN: 6,334 (10.6 bb)
Hero (SB): 2,578 (4.3 bb)
BB: 3,055 (5.1 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Qc As
CO folds, BTN raises to 6,274 and is all-in, Hero calls 2,218 and is all-in, BB folds

Flop: (5,876) 5c 3s 8c (2 players, 2 are all-in)
Turn: (5,876) Qs (2 players, 2 are all-in)
River: (5,876) 2c (2 players, 2 are all-in)

Results: 5,876 pot
Final Board: 5c 3s 8c Qs 2c
BTN showed 5s Ac and lost (-2,578 net)
Hero showed Qc As and won 5,876 (3,298 net)

Good call. As the shortest stack you can call more loose and AQ here qualifies as the monster. Nash says 88+ ATo+ here.
