I am confused here because you are answering your own questions.

I cBet the Flop with A:cQ:h & if I improve my equity I shove the Turn. Otherwise I check/fold

You don't get called superoften on the Flop

With A:s Q:d, you don't have a lot of fold equity on the Turn as it strengthens his range, his range is mostly bottom straight, 2 pairs & flushdraws with a pair. So this Jx helps him, never you if you do not have a Jack

You can cBet big to fold out the low PPs but check/fold is perfectly viable too
