Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.50(BB) Replayer
SB ($60)
BB ($46.58)
UTG ($40.82)
Hero ($57.48)
BTN ($50)

Dealt to Hero J♥ T♥

fold, Hero raises to $1.50, fold, fold, BB calls $1

FLOP ($3.25) 3♦ 7♠ 6♥

BB checks, Hero bets $2, BB calls $2

TURN ($7.25) 3♦ 7♠ 6♥ 8♥

BB checks, Hero bets $4.59, BB raises to $11, Hero calls $6.41

RIVER ($29.25) 3♦ 7♠ 6♥ 8♥ T♠

BB bets $8, Hero folds

BB wins $27.79

The guy was a station but not crazy, about 40/15 or something, not many hands

Would you do anything different? maybe check back the turn? Even with such good river odds I still have to fold right?

I like checking back this turn card. We are not repping a lot here when we bet flop and turn, where villain's flop calling range has improved a lot with this turn. 45 flopped the straight, T9 turned it, 33, 66, 77, 88 all now have sets, 68, 78 both turned two pair. 55, 99, A6, A7, A♥x:heart:, K♥x:heart: will all peel a second street.

We might have as many as 18 outs to hit, but worst case we have 9 (vs A♥ 7♥). If an A, K or Q hit on the river and villain leads out something small like $2.50 we can consider raising as a bluff.

As played, calling the turn raise is fine and folding the river is good.

Hello bradomurder,

Doubt that there is any point to Bet the turn vs very loose opponent, he is rarely going to fold the turn while it rather improves his range. But otherwise as played not much to comment.

Best Regards.
