I tried to induce a float... no good idea?

I really like the line. A bet often forces weaker hands to fold, and by checking you get a lot of bluffs to bet.

Is it bad to flat this and then just bet the river?

Isn't it more likely that villain has some showdown value in a reraised pot and would check turn behind, making it harder for us to get all the money in?

Just c/c the turn and b/r the river.

A check raise on the turn is most often a sign of strength he obviously has no jack, maybe 10's or ak of diamonds so there's no way you get a call on the turn on your raise.

I think with a flushdraw he would call my raise or push all in.

I think calling the turn and betting the river is ok, but not as good as the small raise. Which kind of hands he may have? A pocket or a flushdraw or air.

I don't see him firing another barrel with air too often, so we won't get too much value. With a pocket, he wants to see a SD and he won't bet the river too often. However, we may get a call to the small raise and can make a small river v-bet. Furthermore, we will often get a call from a FD.
