Looks like a trap to me.
If he didn't like you then I'm sure it was a trap.

Raise for a free showdown could be good, but If he has a monster, he will probably 3-bet you.

i like the way you played it but imo it would be also possible to bet the flop. he could fold some pockets and you could earn a free card on the turn. with the gutshot i prefer to check the flop...

maybe i missread the hand but imo it doesn´t make sence to raise for a free showdown with 9 high and 0 showdownvalue ^^

Why should I raise for free showdown?

Turn raise would be attempt to steal the pot (but with nice 15 outs) and if he doesnt fold, then just raise or fold on river.. His turn bet could be just bluff, but King on river is very bad

after 8th review of this hand I really think i should raise this turn card

i was talking to corey... there is no sence to raise for a free showdown. a semi bluff raise is good imo but i don´t like the fact that we will almost have to bet the river again if we miss because the pot is big and we have 0 showdownvalue

me too ;)

And river: you're right, but with some blank card I would need him to fold in only 13% of situations...

But let's say I would raise turn, he call, then check king on river - would you try to bluff? King is maybe the most dangerous card for me...

lol... I don't know what I'm talking about.

Hmm I will have a look at this hand later the day. You have to look which worse he might be able to fold because his range is a bit tighter as he 3-bet preflop.

I doubt that he will check/fold the flop so I take the freecard with my gutshot.

Can someone post the 3-bet range against a BU steal?

i hope i got this right (the new chart sucks):
22+, A2s+, A3o+, K9s+, KTo+, QTs+

but imho you should calculate a bit tighter ^^

maybe it does but to be exact, you forgot JTs+ and it's A4o+, not A3o+

He could do that with almost anything, because he got 2 bad beats against me and then caught me with pure bluff. As I said: he didn't like me ;) that's the reason why King on river is maybe the worst possible card (he would call me with every high pair)

And another thing: this check on flop is really weird, because almost everyone would cbet after 3-bet preflop no matter flop.. (maybe except Q,K,A all suited with pocket 4's different suits :P)

i think that we are talking about different charts. but afair JTs was part of my 3-betting range when i played some time ago... don´t really know what this new chart is all about...

if you say so ^^. but then his range has to be any two (;)) and there is no sence in using the "ps.de-TAG-3betting range"

that´s correct... and i think you can contibet even in this case ;)

With this read you shouldn't raise him because he wouldn't fold anything.
