On Game, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 9 Players

UTG+2: $49.75 (99.5 bb)
MP1: $62.37 (124.7 bb)
MP2: $49.73 (99.5 bb)
MP3: $55.11 (110.2 bb)
CO: $56.94 (113.9 bb)
Hero (BTN): $80.37 (160.7 bb)
SB: $49.50 (99 bb)
BB: $50 (100 bb)
UTG+1: $70.86 (141.7 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with 9 K
UTG+1 calls $0.50, UTG+2 raises to $2, MP1 folds, MP2 calls $2, MP3 calls $2, CO folds, Hero raises to $8, 4 folds, MP2 calls $6, MP3 folds

Flop: ($21.25) 3 K 8 (2 players)
MP2 bets $16, Hero calls $16

Turn: ($53.25) 7 (2 players)
MP2 bets $25.73, Hero folds

Villain is fish, 29/8/ 3bet=1.6 / AF=2 / donk flop 27

My problem is his high donk... Can I fold that flop just because he bets? Shoving doesn't really accomplish anything, he's priced in for any draw plus all his value hands beat mine.

Hello circoflax,

Rather fold it preflop cause I doubt that we having much fold equity vs those fishes and we ain't really squeezing for value. Mainly better Kx Call you and which is just bad for us.

As played not much to comment, not the best card for us on the turn either while he will have a lot of flush-draw type of hands which donk the flop or maybe even stronger.

Best Regards.

Why not squeeze in that spot? UTG+2 who raised has fold to 3bet 82%. I was only worried about getting called by MP2, which actually happened. What do you mean, I should never squeeze if there is a fish in the chain of callers?

Squeeze bigger imo and really not a hand I would like to squeeze with. Bad kicker, bad connectivity, not suited... Definitely KT+ are in the fish's range and you'd have a tough time (just like here) not knowing if your hand is any good.

I'd much rather squeeze KJ+, which I would have no problem of shoving otf against this guy.

I squeeze to that amount to still look credible and not overdo it against UTG+2, who i doubt wild fold AK, KK, QQ. So that amount will make him fold pretty much anything else, and hopefully the other guys will fold too. I think given the stacks, raising to that amount is perfect in order to prevent any type of calls OOP, unless the player is very bad. It's either stick it in or fold for any decent player. Plus, would I really raise more if I had AA-KK?
