Hellowz,

Villain is a fish. Playing too loose and passive. 47/20 on 30 hands.

I think the turnbarrel is very good because his flopcallingrange + prefloprzange is very wide. Q is a good scarecard too.

Ever bluff the river? Why? Why not?

You should never bluff the turn or river vs a calling station. Usually after you cbet the flop w air you shouldn't continue barreling the turn unless you improve or still have a good draw. You make the money off stations when you have a hand not when you don't. Scare cards or how you rep your hand don't really matter since they might call you down with their bottom pair and you look like a donk in the end.

This particular hand

On the turn you have around 30 % equity against a wide flop calling range

JJ-22,AJs-A9s,K9s+,Q8s+,J2s+,T7s+,92s+,87s,64s,54s,AJo-A9o,K9o+,Q8o+,J2o+,T7o+,92o+,87o

I think you should barrel flop for value here since you have a good draw maybe some fold equity and on an A river you are a 75 favorite vs his flop calling range on an assumption that he calls the turn with 100% of his flop calling range. On a K river you are 98.6% favorite and on an 8 river you are 86% favorite. So I would probably barrel the turn maybe for half pot than pot the river If an K or an 8 hits and value bet an ace too.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Hello Farmarchist,

Don't try to overplay a calling station who will almost never-ever fold any made hands and the Q meanwhile even completes his range. Check it behind on the turn. :)

Best Regards.
