Hello all,

I open this blog beacause i was staked with 250$ by EmanuelC16 to play NL10 Zoom Poker. I start playing poker 2 years ago and the highest limit i reached was nl25. I manage to build a nice Bankroll (~1500$) but also i start to withdraw frequently.

I will post hands, graphics to help Emanuel to track my evolutin easly, and of course to get your opinons and sugestions.

Good Luck !

Ps. Sorry for my english

Hand 1 is one of the most difficult hands to decide upon I have seen on Pokerstrategy. However, considering the low sample size I would forget the AfQ and just called - many missed draws and possibly protecting a K.

Hand 1 is a flop fold. BB raises a pot that was 3way and you opened UTG. He never does it enough as a bluff, plus you don't have good turn cards to continue against his aggression. Once you call and he stops on the turn, value bet it because it's the last street you might get some value from weaker Kx and draws, on the river he only bets with made hands so it's a fold imo.

Hand 2: 3bet preflop and go from there. AK is way too strong to just call, you get loads of value if you 3bet it. As played, I like the c/r flop and bet turn, bet river line. When he calls your raise and turn bet he has showdown value. He only bets very good showdown value so you have to go for value since he can have marginal hands like stubborn JJ and KT.

Hand 3 is just a snap fold preflop. JJ doesn't play well when BB 3bets UTG. In these positions people rarely bluff and you usually don't get decent set odds. If you do get odds to set mine like here, that's all you do, no call downs like you did here. As weak as it sounds, just fold flop.

Hand 1 : his 2.5x raise on a drawyflop deosent look that strong to me. When he checks on tha Ax Turn i think a hand similar hand like mine or he hit with the NFD. Vs the river bet is a fold, but unfortunatly i call and he shows A5o.

Hand 2 : At the moment i thought was a utg open and that why i called. Anyway i thought that kq is a big part of his range when he calls my flop raise and that way i choose to take pot control line.

Hand3 : I had a note that he is agro preflop and that why i choose to calldown and he show me a pure bluff. Against a unknow opponent i give a lot of credit to positions but vs him i think is a good line.

Assumptions change when you have notes. If you have any extra info when posting hands mention that too. As a default, I can guarantee JJ is not going to be good there on NL10.

I agree 100%. Also it was a small 3bet and i can't play only for set value against an agro player. I have a similar hand when i have TT and i fold preflop vs a 3bet from BB or SB without infos.

I think you have to go with it even if you don't feel happy about it, I never am in these spots. Swear I run into the flopped flush so often in spots like this but maybe running bad there because apparently you still have 40-45% equity against 2 pair, flopped flushes and sets. And that's not even including AK, or random spaz :)

Board: Ac Jc 2c

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 40.040% 39.02% 01.02% 11203 292.50 { 2d2h }

Welcome to our blogging section!

Manu is a beast when it comes to Zoom, so if he's also helping you work on your game alongside the stake, I have no doubt that you'll be flying through the limits in no time at all!

Best of luck to both of you.

Will be following your progress.

Regards,
Richard

@ClimaxingWalrus - That's the way i feel in this spots too. I think i to weak to raise/fold and i have to get it in, but unfourtunanty he shows Q9s.

@Richard - Yes, he will also help me on my game during the stake and i'm verry lucky to get stake and coaching same time by a player like him.

H5: It's ok to shove here vs a shortstacker, right?
H6: In this situation are a lot of dead money and is verry tempting to shove. Or it a fold?

Good Luck!

@H4: You sort of have to get it in now. We'll talk more about it in our first session.

@H5: I don't mind getting it in against the midstack, especially if he is a midstacking reg. He will stack off 88 there and AQ, maybe even wider.

@H6: Money in the pot is not really dead. Since you opened UTG, CO could still have all the way up to QQ and BB is not 3betting to fold considering the odds. This means money isn't dead. I would be more inclined to fold 77 here. It's way weaker than TT was in prev hand, it was a 3bet against 3 players, one of which opened UTG and opponent is not a clear midstacker, could be just a recreational player who in general are passive and don't stack off too light.

Hello guys,

I played so far like ~10k hands and my BR is at 300$. Good, but not great because i tilted in one session pretty cool, but thats poker and is room for improvement and i hope to reach my A-metal-game soon.

I'm only 500 vpp away from the 50$ bonus. I don't know what to do exactly with Fpp. I think when i will reach 25 by for nl25 i will play the 235 fpp hyper turbos with 1 & 2 place wins 11 T$ and then sell it to boost my BR.

If u have better plans please share with me

Good Luck!

If you are less then Platinum Star I think the Hypers and then selling T$ is the best way to convert FPPs to cash.

Ugly move, but usely in this spot. No 1 read : He was from Ireland and i assume he was a recreational player and if he had kk,qq or maibe AK it will be difficult to fold. Second reason, his bettsizeing look very strong. If i choose to 4bet maybe he just call and a ugly flod could kill the action. Anyway, i was lucky.

Hello,

I manage to free the 50$ bonus and i'm doing pretty well after i decided (and succeeded) to play without looking to my wininigs. This is the no1 leak for me because after loosing to a beadbeat/cooler/badplay i have this bad habit and my focus is reduced. And when another similar situation apear, tilt is taking full control of me.

Unfortunatly so far i couldn't sync with Emanuel for a coaching but i hope maybe today we will have time.

My BR now is ~450$ and i hope to reach nl25 verry soon.

Best of luck to all!

Thanks! I'm 10 by under ev and decided to play my FPPs to realease me from tilt. But the variation here is criminal, and from ~3000 FPPs i won only 22 T$.

At the cash tables i'm in that frustrating period when i 3bet with AA and i'm called OOP and the opponent hits the set on the flop. That happened 3 times yesterday. When i'm 3betting with KK, the flop 4/5 times is A high and i have to fold or the action is killed.

The good part is that my 3bet/4bet game improves a lot i find better situation to bluff and increase my non-sd winings and my Br is still around 460$.

This weekend i'm taking a break and go have some fun at the Black Sea.

Good Luck!
