Should I have bet less on the river to induce a weak call?

I don't think a smaller bet would've mattered; it pretty much looked like that guy was on a draw that didn't hit. But than again, why would he be calling $4.20 on the turn...

I'd say you played it right.


His bet was so small on the flop that he probably holds draw.
But maybe he plays aces that way.
Your river bet is fine, if he has overpair he would call that.
If I put him on overcards with draw I would make 3$ bet to induce bluff+ he might look me up with A high.
