I'd check behind flop. I don't like the turn raise... yes, you have top two, but what does he really donk there? river is strange, I have no idea what he does this line with.

Don't I generally have to bet on flop? I've got 2nd NF draw + top pair in position.

On turn I raise because the small bet doesn't really represent anything. Only a strong made draw maybe... However I'm confident I'm ahead of him.

On river he has got to nailed a straight. Maybe it's a bluff but I rarely see it as one.

Would you call a c/r on the flop?

nope, I'd fold. My hand are not good enough for that although I'm glad if villain folds or calls.

That's why check behind is better - you should check behind when You have some equity and can improve on turn but have to fold to a check raise when you bet... You don't want to be folding hands with decent equity ;).

I'd also rather bet on flop so I can take a free card on turn instead of checking on flop and folding to a bet on turn...

Don't forget that you also have reverse implied odds if villain has a NFD... and if your flush hits, you're not going to get paid necessarily. Also, you build the pot by betting... Villain can still donk turn and you won't get a free card ;). But as I said, the main reason to check behind is because you can't call a check raise and are therefore folding equity.

I love the flop bet, you have a big draw with overcards and a flush draw to go with your top pair. Good enough to stack off with.

Turn raise is also mandatory, top 2 pair plus strong flush draw and overcards is a big hand here and I expect you to be good pretty much always. Gotta get that value in with a pot raise. I would be happy stacking off if offered as well. If villain shows up with a set then it's a pretty sick set up.

River: Well villain could have 4569, I think he likes the spade draw on the turn, there are a bunch of busted flush draws here he could be making a desperate bluff with so it's really down to personal read if you think the guy is capable of a bluff in this spot. It's the nuts or nothing I dont think he donks a hand like T8 on the river.
