Since I have started playing online poker "10 months ago".

I have taken a look at the restricted tourneys which need a password so I look up the name on the tourney and a lot of the time it is a german club or league. I noticed that alot of the online strategy sites and clubs are german or founded by germans, like my favorite one "PokerStrategy.com" .

Why is this? Is online poker just a huge thing in germany?

It is pretty big. PS.com's majority are from germany. (I guess around 600000 out of 750000. Just a guess. ^^)
I can't tell you why. :/

Germans are everywhere really. When you go on vacation half of the people are germans. In the summer half of the people are germans. In online gaming half of the people are germans...

GERMANS JUST RULE THE WORLD !

Yeah, I'm expieriencing the same thing. It feels like, you get out of your home and there is a bulk of Germans falling over you. You turn on the TV and what do you see? - German news, German talk shows, German sports.
Turn on the radio and there is only German language coming out. Everybody seems to drive German cars, even the traffic signs are written in German. Ok, I live in Munich, but ...

It's pretty simple...
Germany has the biggest population of europe.

and 2nd comes france, Italy and UK. the french and italian can't play winning poker, and in the UK poker doesn't seem to be that big.

poker is huge in scandanavia (sp) and they're also MASSIVE winners. at least, so i read.

scandanavians are the best new-generation pokerplayers imo.
But all the scandanavian countries together make the size (of population) of 1/3 of germany...
