I talked of this hand with one fellow who plays high stake games. His opinion was that ICM requires too big equity for SB call here (ICM flaw?) and that SB induce is good play.
I think that even if his induce can be profitable open shove would still show more profit. Thus making induce play questionable. Well maybe it can be explained with balancing reasons so that his raise-call range is bit wider this way.
