PokerStars - $0.10 NL ZOOM - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: $7.98
SB: $6.69
BB: $11.33
UTG: $6.14
UTG+1: $10.73
UTG+2: $13.66
Hero (MP): $21.43
MP+1: $9.70
CO: $10.05

SB posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has A♦ A♥

UTG raises to $0.35, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.90, fold, fold, BTN calls $0.90, fold, fold, UTG calls $0.55

It's a bit smaller because he is a short stacker.

Flop: ($2.85, 3 players) J♠ K♦ Q♣
UTG checks, Hero bets $1.36, BTN raises to $2.72, fold, fold

The guy who min 3bets me is 55/0 AF:2 fish over 20 hands only. But it is clear he is a fish.

I just figure his range is tons of broadways here and I can't have too much equity against him meriting a shove.

Is this a clear fold or too weak play?

Spoiler

BTN wins $5.32

I would play the same way, I don't see any hands, which you beat when he min raises this flop, especially in 3bet pot.

Hello FlashDavin,

I'd Check behind the flop already cause there ain't really many hands which pay you and a lot of those hands will be ahead of you. If we betting then it means we bet it for value which means we are planning to go broke.

Best Regards.

So our plan is to check/fold a flop with an overpair and gutshot?

It seems too weak. We can still get value from things that are pleased to just call like AK.

Also this is 3way. Maybe check/fold is proper?

Nope, Check/Call most likely or reevaluate the bet sizing. :) If it's huge then yeah, easily could Check/Fold even.

Why would you Bet in first place there where we are multiway and it's quite obvious that we are never-ever going to be against a lot worse hands.
