[Closed] $15+$1.5 - Tournament [Middle Stage Hand]

marginal hand + OOP = trouble.

Fold preflop, because you're OOP, you'll only get in trouble in this spot. If you wanna play hands, play from MP3-CO-BU with marginal hands, it'll be more profitable.

why the bluff didn't work:

1. you're oop, harder to bluff oop
2. your line doesn't make any sense (bet/call/check/call/bet) doesn't really say "hey, I paired that ace, so I check-called the turn!")
3. he's kinda committed to call on the river. He can still fold, but the price is right, c/r or push on the turn would've been A LOT better.
4. You're playing 15$ tourneys, don't expect your opponents to be good enough for making herofolds.

dont c/c the turn, you're never ahead here
dont bluff postoak, it's pointless

Think about it. It's not really important, but it's funny you mention it. If you get a handhistory, which shows 2 hands, played directly after eachother. Hero makes exactly the same betting pattern twice. You don't get to see the hole cards. You think he's more often bluffing the first time, or the second time?

Ofcourse the answer is, the first time. He'd be crazy if he repeats the pattern of the previous hand, in which the opponent folded, with a sheer bluff. The odds of him picking up cards, THEN getting a good spot to bluff are smaller then the other way around i'd guess.

If you'd shown down some monsters in the past 15 minutes, you'd surely have way more FE too. Being tight means in no way that you aren't bluffing. That's why lag-style is so darn profitable. Because everyone thinks they're bluffing all the time.

#2, i would 3bet this preflop, but this is a question of style. never call preflop though
