2nd pair vs river shove

I checked behind the turn to induce a bluff from a missed draw on the river and was planning on calling any non club river, OTR he insta shoved straight away

The busted flushdraw seems very likely und reasonable. Therefore a call against his river-shoving range should be ok.

It's obviously saver if you can back up your thoughts with some reads on your opponent.
If you don't have these reads the call ist at least very close, if not too risky. If you had AK it would be way easier. Unfortunately an Ax type of flushdraw is absolutely possible and therefore he might still be in front with his hand. Since there is only potsize left the push doesn't seem to be entirely unreasonable for value.

yeahhh that was the main problem, that Ax FDs also had he beat, its kinda a sick spot considering he does this exact shove with a massive range of hands and it just comes down to a read, and what range im putting him on but i think after he calls the flop i think its just unlucky if he has an ace in this spot IMO
