I want to go to the USA to study there. I live in Argentina and I have a spanish passport. i can prove that i have the money to survive for as long as it takes.

i have read, though, that their immigration policies are pretty though.

anyone knows something about this?

Hey vmarqui,

Wow! Great plan! How about your poker career then?

I lived in the states for many years. If you want to study, all you need to do is to get a school paper proving that you're not coming to work but to take classes.

I imagine you need to apply and get accepted then the school will provide you with the correct documents.

If you can't do this from Argentina, you need to apply for student VISA (or green card for re-locating). I think you can find out more at any local travel agency or city council.

I also found this on yahoo: http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080130145043AAFP1BQ

See if it helps. Try to google this topic and you'll find many websites who explains the pros/cons.

No problems, mind you the yahoo answers are 4 years old and a lot of things have changed since then. The more you google the more information you'll have :)

US is really gone into lockdown mode if you live in south america/mexico. I doubt it will be easy to get in even with a good clean record.
