Ofc you do. They spent time and money to make it and now they're giving it aways for free! Its x-mas everyday at PT4

actually they do give it away to people who buyed pt3 not a long time before pt4 got released. Don't know how many months they count for that though.
Best you can do is log onto your pokertracker.com account.
Then go to your registration keys en look what it says.
I received a huge discount but maybe you get it free.
I believe i had to pay about 14euro for the small stakes NL version...

Upgrade Discounts from PokerTracker 3 to PokerTracker 4
If you purchased PokerTracker 3 on or after June 10, 2011, then you will receive an equivalent version upgrade to PokerTracker 4 for free.
If you purchased PokerTracker 3 before June 10, 2011, then you will receive a 70% discount on an equivalent version upgrade to PokerTracker 4 if you purchase your upgrade to PokerTracker 4 before November 25, 2012
To apply your discount, please add the version of PokerTracker 4 you wish to purchase and proceed through checkout, the discount process will be automated for you based on the purchase date of your existing PokerTracker 3 license. If you earn a free upgrade to PokerTracker 4 then you must complete the upgrade purchase, but no payment will be required.

If your prior PokerTracker 3 orders are missing, please link your previous orders on that same page to earn your upgrade discount.

They just had the very resonable policy of not charging full price for a product (PT3) that was to be replaced in the near future. But yes, it's almost x-mas when the discount is 100% for one year old PT3's. They probably calculated with a release of PT4 in the fall of 2011 originally.
