How should I play it? My idea behind checking the flop was that I was pretty sure he will bet if he has a draw or even turn something like 87s 
into a bluff. This guy seemed so aggressive that I wanted to take full advantage of it and take 2 streets of value from his bluffs/semibluffs. I ch/shoved the turn because I doubted he would bet the river as a pure bluff, weaker made hands would probably checkback the river. I thought I would get max value from his draws by shoving since he has pretty good odds to call it.
If he would have checked behind the flop, I would have bet 1/2pot on turn and river to get value from weaker hands.
You guys have to have dynamics here to make such a play and assume that he very often bluffs against you this way. Cause it's not going to happen that often. But of course if you assume that then sure, your play should be fine.
