MP: $5.60 - VPIP: 26, PFR: 25, 3B: 9, AF: 0,0, Hands: 53
CO: $4.15 - VPIP: 27, PFR: 24, 3B: 8, AF: 0,0, Hands: 51

SB: $17.78 - VPIP: 19, PFR: 17, 3B: 11, AF: 2,9, Hands: 296
BB: $11.35 - VPIP: 24, PFR: 17, CallOpen: 19(23), 3B: 5, AF: 4,7, Hands: 131
Hero (UTG): $10.00 - VPIP: 22, PFR: 19, 3B: 5, AF: 4,6, Hands: 50191

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is UTG with A  Q :spade:
Hero raises to $0.40, 4 folds, BB calls $0.30

Flop: ($0.85) A :diamond: 4 :diamond: T  (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.54, BB calls $0.54

Turn: ($1.93) 9 :club: (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.30, BB folds

Given the fact that this is a UTGvsBB situation, is a check behind on the turn not better? I don't really think that there are that many FDs in his range and there is not much to protect from, maybe it is worth to go for pot control and bet the river for value instead? Maybe makes villain more likely to call.

I would bet here, there could still be some draws with his flat call (or weaker aces, that would call two streets).Though your opponent seems aggressive, so you could check back and call his river bet.

Very few FDs there, I think. Villain could even not be calling most suited broadways. I don't think he's calling with SCs preflop there. And only weaker Ax hand that he could maybe have that we beat is AJ. MAYBE and only maybe A8s sometimes but that I would doubt.

Also, if I am checking behind turn I am considering calling a moderately sized river bet not because I think that villain is bluffing very often (he could with a busted FD but once again – not that many there) but because he might be valuebetting his AJ aso. Because his call on the flop indicates a made hand most likely and he wouldn't just bet a Tx or JJ–KK there, I think.

Hello Avatars91,

Pretty standard Bet, we don't want to turn our hand into bluff-catcher and instead we Bet the turn for protection and free showdown.

Best Regards.
