I only had 50 hands on villain, but he was playing 50/15, so he was an obv loose passive fish. Flop is an auto cbet. But the turn is pretty nasty. Where do I go from there? Can I get away from it against his stacksize?

Hello Schelles,

Well, if you Bet the turn then it means we doing it for value which means we also calling it off. But what we should be asking if we can Bet though for value there? If we rather assume it's thin then might be even more reasonable to just Check behind and reevaluate the river.

Best Regards.

Hi Veriz,

Of course I have to call it off if I bet the turn. The problem here is that it is against a big fish & it's hard to give him a range. I just tried to give him a range that he's willing to go broke with on the turn in Equilab & i'm not doing very well against it. It is still pretty wide & I'm only 58% fav. So I'd rather check it & evaluate the river next time.

Thank you!

Hey,

why is bet/fold so bad? Such guys call off loose but don't go allin all too wide or am I wrong?

Cause we getting too good odds? :) And such a loose guy who doesn't even have a full s tack could easily himself have a lot worse Ax hands there. What do you think what the guy would do with them? Check/Call with Ax? More likely that he ships it. Which means that betting the turn doesn't make sense in first place there if we planning to Bet/Fold it.
