I suspect my bet sizing on the turn was too small. I'm happy with checking the river. Should I be?

these one card low flush draws really suck. when the flush card arrives you're pretty much always in a guessing game, even if he checks it's tough to bet for value

so i don't really like to raise the flop, but as played it's fine. hope that he has some overcards like A:cx and that's it

Hello JimmyChooEsq,

Don't raise the flop, if you getting in the money there then your equity ain't going to be very good. Even if you have a straight-flush-draw. He could still have A:c or whatsoever and he will also with it have decent equity against you.

Therefore which means rather Call the flop and reevaluate the turn. Plus of course betting the turn doesn't really make sense cause you ain't making any better hands to fold.
