I have ust registered to play at Party Poker after completing the quiz and am currently waiting for my initial $10 to be put into my account. However, i tried to register in a freeroll and it would not let me saying I had to deposit to be able to pay real money. Will I be able to play in these freerolls AFTER poker strategy have put the $10 into my new account?

When the starting capital has been received, your real money account should be activated and off you go! ♦
What games are you going to play, are you a no limit, a pot limit omaha, a sit and go player, or maybe 5 card draw or some other variant?
