Fold is of course correct, but I had similar hand today.
3 players on a flop. I had QQ and I was a raiser preflop.
Flop was AKx, someone donkbets before me, I called, someone after me called too.
Turn he bets again, I folded and other guy goes till show down.
99 had this player in front of me and won...

yes this happens sometimes but the pot is 3 BB big and to see a showdown you have to pay 1,5-2,5 BB so you have to win at least every second time and this will not happen.
