This is fine. Villain is unlikely to have a 5 give his position pre. Thus on the river he either has JJ-77 and is scared for some strange reason, Qx/AA/KK/66/55 and is c/r'ing, or air which will fold or bluff. Without a more specific read, it's hard to conclude that he has enough combos of worse hands to cover his c/r's and compensate you for being bluffed.
You are right Leader but i don't agree with you as we play lowstakes. Usually people don't have a checkraising-Range once they've taken over the initiative so i'd rather consider him having 77 88 99 or JJ instead of trips or a Monsterhand and he could put us on Ax and expect us to call. If youconsider this reg to be that good, you should also consider that we don'T have a large bet/call-Range on the River. 99 TT maybe but we check behind with a lot and maybe willing to pay off with AK (in his mind)
So for me this is an easy valuebet without specific reads as most of the times , better hands will bet.
