The primary focus of today's session was to be willing to fold top/over pair when an opponent shows aggression so that I don't lose a ton of money against trips.

I think I did a pretty good job of it (with the exception of one hand which I will post). I finished today's session over 8 BIs up ♦

You appear to be correct. I will change the second hand to the one I meant to post (which was also AK).

So you wouldn't suggest using my points to build my bankroll by buying say the Gold level cash reward?

you could... but imo the value you get isn't really too great, in the sense that it won't be a substantial % addition to your bankroll which is reeeaaally going to help you move up faster.

AK hand -> most likely i'd tend to 3bet/fold preflop, as played bet the flop smaller, as it happened don't think i'm ever folding the way the action went.
shipping is fine for value from KQ/KJ and the alternative is c/c vs missed clubs, depends on how we see btn

Not a great day today! I erased yesterdays winning plus a little more. I played 2 nearly 2 hour sessions for a total of 4349 hands.

I got really unlucky in several instances where my opponent hit the river to win the hand and there was one hand where I lost to a set to a higher set.
I was generally happy with my play for the first 3 hours but then I tilted away 3 or 4 buy-ins which I'm not too impressed by.

One of the perks of the company I work at is the we get a paid half day off on the day before the holiday (It's Thanksgiving weekend in Canada) which means that I will get an opportunity to play for a couple hours in the afternoon before heading to my parents house.

The Jack on the river made my decision fairly easy (I went all-in because I felt that villain would either fold or call regardless of raise size). I think I probably would have played bet/fold on any river except for an Ace or 9 though maybe X/F would have been better because I have to believe that most of villan's limp/call range is broadway (of which I don't beat any on the turn) and SC which I assume he'd give most up on the flop.

Finished off the week on a good note with a short session today up 2 BI's over 1000 hands.

Unfortunately I don't have time to go into detail but here is my graph for the week (10,250ish hands).

One particularly troubling thing is that I'm a running a lot above EV which means I am making a lot of bad calls and getting lucky. My goal for next week is to work on this a lot and to finish with a positive EV.

Next week is going to be a short week since I won't be getting home until Monday evening and then leaving Thursday night for my company's annual retreat
