Limp in with these hands, or leave them alone?

During the early stage of a tourney, do you limp in with hands such as 6,7s, 8,9s, 4,5s. <-- These type of hands? Or is better to avoid them all together.

If there are a few limpers before you(usually fish) then its fine to go and limp behind trying to flop big and stack them. If its unopened to you its better to either raise or fold them.

i would lean towards opening those hands in late position (CO/BU) and folding in earlier ones. however i do not play tournies very often

you should play very tight until you are very experienced. just fold all hands but premiums. the potential benefit of playing a weak hand correctly is way smaller than the potential harm caused if played incorrectly.

Well - at some point you will have to start playing these hands. They are very profitable if played right and my general advice would be open raising them from late positions and fold them in the earlier positions. If there are other limpers in the hand feel free to overlimp.

Of course, these hands can go terribly wrong if you are unexperienced. So better be careful when playing them.
