I don't like your river play. If you think he calls turn with a medium pocketpair and you know you want to 3barrel, why don't bet turn 4$ en overshove river for max foldequity? Otherwise c/f river.

Is c/f that bad?

I think that if we bet turn we definitely should plan a triple barrel cause his range is obv sets and 77-JJ.

Hello Farmarchist,

If you are starting to CB the flop then you have to start to ask yourself what's the purpose of it? Trying to make PPs to fold or what is the plan? You only have GS and assuming you are 4way here I don't see that often to even have much fold equity vs PPs.

Though if you go for barreling then you at least have to 2barrel/even 3barrel dependent how we see the opponent. Another option would be of course to Check the turn whilst I don't the guy would take shots at us with weaker PPs but rather Check behind for pot control whilst also being passive.

Best Regards.

There are not that many weaker pairs possible, whereas villain still has some overcards in his range as well and he may try to bluff us out of the hand either on the turn or the river at least (!) sometimes.

I do agree that the CB on the flop is probably not the best play at all, but should it not be essential to bet the turn to force his Ax and other overcards out of the pot + get value from SDs and sometimes gutshots even + to make our hand look stronger in order to prevent villain from possibly bluffing on the river with busted draws?
