[Closed] 210FPP qualifier to sunday 100k, QQ vs 2xall-in

If this is final table or a 1TT, i'd have to think twice about pushing. QQ is a dangerous pair to play that close to the bubble, and i'd be umming and ahhing as to whether it's worth jumping in with 2 All-ins in front.

I'd probably have pushed, but only because I struggle to laydown a good hand

If you really thought you had the best hand against the other donks, then of course a push is the right move

Or well... fold preflop, but don't do that first in. I don't think raising and folding here is an option after you're commited to pretty much any hand you play, regardless of how close we are to the bubble.

Well basically here the MP1's range is so wide that he could even have K10o, he was really aggressive and kind of stupid^^ The one I was worried about was CO, but he could have anything from 99+, AJ+ or maybe even a hand like KQ or QJ... And yeah, it's the final table out of 2-tables ♦

Hi, I either raise/call or openshove.

Because the tournament is top 6 paid, we still need to double up somewhere along the line. here's a good spot :).

If I was in the SB or BB (that is, I hadn't put any money in yet), I would fold, but after raising it's an easy call for me.

By the way, raise to 500 or 600 preflop. I know you want to maximise value from donkeys here (who call way too much preflop), but you simply can't do it, it's too expensive.

Ehm... Isn't this still more of a push/fold situation, since I have less than 13BB? Like ManniXXX said?

Can you explain a bit why a 500 or 600 raise is better? I don't play a lot of SnGs, so I usually just make the standard 4BB raise. I know I should read the resizing your raises article but I just can't find the time

4BB for Cash
3BB for Tourney/sng

Not sure about the exact reasoning but I would expect that in sngs/tourneys we don't lose any FE from 4BB to 3BB but we do save chips if we have to fold at any point in the hand.

effective stacks are small, therefore implied odds are small.

so they can't actually call us wide, even if we raise to 2.5BB. which also lets us make our continuation bet smaller. at a decent limit, the players usually recognise this, and will opt for push or fold preflop (because they only hit 35% of the time, so not having the initiative sucks!)

but at this limit, players call you too often. so i usually only raise to 3BB, or go all-in directly.

usually the push/fold rule is for 10BB or less, but in special cases (like here, where we're fairly close to the bubble), we can go all-in with a larger stack size.
