You actually have less than true 6 bbs cause of antes.

I put that situation in Wiz and assumed that villain limps 66% and then calls 33% range. It says I should only push 9% lol. The problem is that Wiz thinks 22 will win 55% when checked and you'll need to play postflop to get that. And with 22 I think we can get more edge just shoving. So I'd shove here

Maybe I'm mistaken and that's a leak but I always thought Wiz underestimates EV oh shoves vs SB limps

If u have seen him before limp/folding, then shove seems good. But when he usually shoves or raises in this spot then i tend to just check, cause it looks too strong. We are still in the folding war. OFC it depends on the table as well. If another short player is fish and makes a lot of loose moves then ch seems good again in most of times. When limper is bad then ch is better as well cause he might call with too wide range.

I have been playing around with this hand in equilab and icm trainer and I just dont like shoving here as I felt I was behind against quite a lot of villians range. Could not really see much fold equity either.
I did not put any stats in the post as I felt it is one of those spots that come up a fair bit in hypers and wanted to see what you thought of it in a standard situation type scenario.

I find this icm stuff so hard

This. I think he's trapping a bunch too.

This spot is tough, it's not just you that thinks this! Our opponent makes a play that makes mathematical solving of the situation extremely difficult. We need to quantify how often we win postflop when we check, and that is a very tough undertaking. Anyway it does seem that checking is best with 22, but I'd be very interested what the best play with a hand like 66 would be (although doing the complex math to solve it would be pretty pointless given the rarity of the situation ).
