Prima, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

CO: $77.81 (155.6 bb)
BTN: $54.18 (108.4 bb)
Hero (SB): $51.75 (103.5 bb)
BB: $50 (100 bb)
UTG: $50.75 (101.5 bb)
MP: $48.59 (97.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8 8
UTG raises to $1.50, 3 folds, Hero calls $1.25, BB folds

Flop: ($3.50) 3 J 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $2, Hero raises to $6.50, UTG folds

Anon table.

UTG played 22/17 after 20 hands.

Is it a good idea to try taking down the pot on the flop? I dont know his barreling tendencies, so it will be hard for me to ch/call on many turn/rivercards, and after my chRaise he could even fold stronger hands, like 99/TT, if he is a weaker type, even Jx or overpairs.

Hello pcfmcc02,

Wouldn't say that you are always making TT/99 in those to fold but clearly it could be possible. So yeah, it's still possible as long we are against UTG range and still some part of his range hasn't hit the flop.

Best Regards.
