villain is playing 44/8 over 30 hands... is this a good spot to barrel?

I would definitely check behind... You won't get credit if you try to rep that str8 and you have 3 T, 2 Q and 8 clubs that may turn your hand into the best one. Also, your hand is behind his range atm.

This is one of those spots where you have to bet the flop then give up once called.

Villain is going to have an ace in a large part of his range since there aren't really any other draws showing (the only obvious draw involves villain having the A♦) so it's time to check the turn back and hope to hit clubs or a gutshot straight.
