Looks like a clear-cut fold to me. There's a lot of hands that can beat you.

personally id just call ... youve got one caller already giving you some odds ... also you have a little already invested ... you're hand is decent ... if you dont hit check fold it

not that you should think like this at all but ... you're playing a large tournament ... and the blinds are 80/160 ... and already 90 people have gone out ... they arent playing very tightly

Well I would say it depends on the player you are against. If you saw him raising loose, then i would simply call and put a play on him on the flop if possible. But if hes a normal player, who knows something about the game (by saying normal i mean not a donk who raises hands like KJ UTG, you understand me), I just fold. ~16 BB is still pretty good stack and shoving here imo would seem to be not a good idea because some people tend to miniraise monsters from UTG and you can wait for way better spots to do this. Acctualy any raise from UTG indicates strenght. I guess this decision should be based on what you have seen from him during the tournament.

But here i would just fold preflop and wait for a better spot. Hopefully we can wait some expert answers because its an interesting situation

I don't think calling is a good idea.
-You're entering a minimum 3 way pot (probably 4 since the BB is getting great odds) in the worst position
-your hand doesn't do well in multiway pots (even if you hit a Q high flop against 3 unknown hands top pair top kicker isn't so great)
-your risking just under a tenth of your stack (a pretty large amount)

With all these things considered I'd fold the majority of the time. If UTG is raising like a maniac from any position, then I might think about pushing but not very often.

I'd fold, if they raised late n no one else entered the pot you could resteal, but not in a multiway pot

If you knew that mini-raises came from the UTG meant weakness, and you knew the call range of the BTN was below I think you could push and try to steal the pot. I think calling oop isn't very good, maybe if you were on a late position you could call...

but on this level you need chips at some time so would push it , BTN could be calling just because of position and its the UTG player you have to beat and you only have 4 hands to worry about

Hi icegooner4, these spots really depend on any available reads, but lacking them, I would go for a reraise/call. This is because the minraise UTG really is usually a wide range of hands, against which we have both equity and fold equity.

Calling, and check/raise/shoving any hit is good too.

I would just push this, I don't really give utg a big hand after minraising here and I'm also not afraid of the coldcaller....so easy push for me.
