Hi,

No hands on villain.

iPoker - $0.05 NL (6 max) FAST - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BB: $7.43
UTG: $1.92
MP: $5.34
CO: $5.09
BTN: $4.20
Hero (SB): $5.19

Hero posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.05

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.07) Hero has K♥ J♥

fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.15, BB calls $0.10

Flop: ($0.30, 2 players) 2♣ T♥ 7♠
Hero bets $0.20, BB raises to $0.40, Hero calls $0.20

Turn: ($1.10, 2 players) Q♥
Hero checks, BB bets $0.55, Hero raises to $2.06, fold

Hero shows K♥ J♥ (High Card, King)
Hero wins $2.09

Wondering if I am being too reckless here or the play is fine. In particular on the flop. My thoughts on flop were: min raise is pretty weak, he could well have a draw like 89 or a low pair. I have 2 overcards plus back-door draws I could pick up (and I did nicely), plus with him being so weak I might even be ahead, and I might have fold equity later on.

Also, is it ok to be committed on turn like that? I think I am check raising even if he bets strong on turn (like he bets pot, I shove)

Thanks a lot

Hi,

If you think he is bluffing then 3-bet is usually better option on the flop, since that would give you most fold equity against air and you likely would not c/rai turn unless you hit your draw

Nice shove on the turn- nothing else to do with royal draw, but if you were for example 3-bet to 0.8$ on the flop then you can still shove that turn card and expect to have the same or even more fold equity against Tx hands

best regards,
