yip I would have prob 3bet jammed him Pre looking at your stack sizes.

also

you checked flop after 3betting pre , bad move !!

u shoud have either jammed flop or fired a bet, but jam would be better coz ur stack size....

Why do you think cbet on this flop is good???
Do you think he will fold enough to have +EV cbet. I don`t think. If I cbet, I should fold if he push.
Such that everyone cbets, when have made 3bet preflop, don`t mean, that this is the right play in every spot.

Yes, shove pre flop is better.

if i was villian, i would fire a turn bet at you every time bcoz u checked flop, which he did and u folded.

imo , 3betting then checking flop is passive , ofc you cant do it always but in a HU pot mostly yes you should, you are also getting zero info by checking flop..

but on a board like that i wouldnt be to scared of the ace or flush and i would have fired flop bet after my pre 3bet, he either going fold, call or RR you, and u can always give up l8r street but u gotta try and take pot 1st as you are being the aggressor!!!.....

He might check/push with Ax(we don`t know how wide is his range), flush draws(KhQh, Th9h, if he have these hands in his range), sometimes he can check/push with QJs,KJs,JTs, which is very bad for me.
He don`t have a lot of hands which can turn in bluff after my check.
Most of the opponents will check down with 99,TT,Jx.

Hi all,

In this hand I will learn you some pokers. Here we have QQ, a very strong value hand, against an unknown in a 27$ tournament. He's probably not the best poker player, so a reraise is better than a shove for exactly the reason we see in this hand.

Flop comes AJh8h. We have QQ, which suddenly goes from being a very strong value hand to an absolute bluffcatcher. Villain checks, we check behind because in order to bluffcatch, villain needs to find a way to bluff.

Villain bets pot on the turn, which looks a lot like a draw to me! I'd move all in here, we trapped him good.

WRT his range: if he's stupid enough to call a pretty sizable reraise OOP with this effective stacksize, he's stupid enough to have a hand like t9o here.

This pot bet on turn confuse.
Maybe you are right, but would you say, why do you think this pot bet looks like a draw, it can be helpful.
Thank you.

I feel it doesn't make much sense to pot an ace. You want to get a call. But it doesn't make much sense to enter tournaments when you are as bad as villain is either, so what do I know.

As played pre there r 2option on that flop
Make smalish c bet to look scared and call of shove
Or
As chenyy says ch and call down

But imo chenny is missing one big moment/factor here in the hand
This is kno bounty mtt so when we shove villains (fish + regs) will call wider cos of the bounty and cos our stack is only 1/4 of villains stack

I don't think fish think about that enough IMO. Some definitely do (and they usually will over-compensate as a result!), but I'm not sure about the average fish.

It's fine to 3bet anyway as I think the fish that care about the KO bounty will also be the fish that don't fold much postflop anyway.

Postflop: I feel fish c/r bluff less often than they just bluff vs a check. So I'd take the checkback line as a default preference, especially when there aren't many more scarecards for our hand.
