There is no reason not to take the stellar rewards as soon as you reach each and every one of them

As for FPP's, I am saving them so when I reach supernova, I can get two times the $1600* bonus. If you are certain that you can not reach Supernova, then either buy the largest bonus you can get with your VIP level, or buy some tournament tickets or gift certificates. Oftentimes they have the best $/FPP values at the lower levels.
