You have a very strong hand and you wont to get value out of it, so bet it. You want to get as much as possible into the pot, and its not gonna work by checking. On the turn a second diamond comes, so you should bet also for protection.Here its not important that you are out of position, you should assume you are holding the nuts.

Nah, dont get tricky. You may be holding the "nuts" on the flop, but this wouldnt be the case if the river came ♦ or a six, some1 3bets your raise, what are you doing with your set? Just bet when you are strong, its almost always the right play. Its unraised pot and you cant really put villains on ranges, so if some normally not scary cards come, you may get sucked out.
Besides, check/raising wont give you more value than bet/calling a 3bet here. If they fold, its ok ,but you should make them pay to see other cards.

Yeah, that's what I'm trying to do. Probably exeggarating with loosening up, but my concern was rather how not to be to rocky after all these 150k hands of sss.

Well 10 to 20 VPIP and a PFR as close as you can to your VPIP are good stats for a TAG, anything below 10 is too nitty to be profitable at limits after NL25.
Bad beats are surely gonna come, and this time they hurt more( i lost quads over quads for 200BB once). But normally a set over set is so rare, that you dont have to even consider it as a possibility when you have one, just try not to get sucked out by straights and flushes.

Right, and I wouldn't even be bothering if it wasn't AAA over TTT from some totay unreasonable 80vpip guy ;). One in a milion shot.

Best thing is just bet out that flop. No need to give free cards+ you want to build big pot with second nuts.
