No you can only tile 6 and even then not at full size on a 27''. I was also thinking about going for a 30'' but all of then are around 1500$ which is kinda expensive compared to most 27's that go at around 300-400$.

I'd test em out. You can do this using your normal monitor by trying to model the size with another one. As long as its not smaller than the minimum table size you'll probably do fine.

ie..

The 2560x1600 is roughly the proportions of a 1900x1200. (1.60:1, 1.58:1 resp)
The 2560x1400 is more similar to 1900x1080. more widescreen. (1.83:1, 1.76:1 resp).

Personally, I love the way tables tile at 1.58:1. I've dropped to 1900x1080 on both for recording purposes and still miss it, but it could be just comfort.

Thanks alot guys. yeah there is major overlap when testing on 1900x1080 monitor. seems the 30" is definetly the one to go for. Such an astronomical price jump though. Suppose it has to be done.

Wouldn't it make more sense economically to buy 2 27" monitors and spread across the 2 screens? May be able to even go with 24" monitors and save even more....

Yes but with 2x27" this would only allow for a maximum total of 12 tables tiled at full size. 2x 30inch would allow for 18 which is more than I am likely to play at one time but would still like to have the capacity to do so.

It seems to me with the 30inch screens there are absolutely no restrictions and therefore it justifies spending the extra money....

I have 27" monitor for a while and on that I can tile normally just 6 tables.. Have seen friend playing on 30" and its completely different thing.
I`m planning to buy 30" in future and use the 27" as a 2nd monitor. If I would have to buy monitor for 1st time again, I would choose the 30" over 27". Definantly go for 30".
