Hey double2,

Interesting spot, its always annoying being bet at when you should have initiative and you have a weak showdown hand.

I think on the flop or turn we can find a raise, its very unlikely he has a VERY good hand. A very good hand would be an overpair (would 3bet pre) or a set (would he really lead out vs a button open???)

If we raise flop alot of things can happen on the turn and we can lose the pot on the river, if we raise the turn we get to buy our showdown price.

Example. He bets $4 into $9, we now make it $9.25

He is going to call with all draws and even overcards.

If we call the $4 then alot of overcards come on the river and he may bet $10 ($6 more than we would put in the pot if we raised turn)

This is advisable for when you have a weak showdown hand.
