Hi everyone,

Bit of background :

Me :

Was a mod here before, wonderful community. Love everyone :)
Decided to quit poker to focus on my pharmacy degree.
Still played live but not really online. Still love to lurk the forums and sometimes comments.
Doing a small come back ...everything in life can be done if done with balance. I will cap my playing time. Studies will always be my priority.
I also have a month off next month with not much to do so i'll be able to grind like old times probably. Also having a blog is really motivating.

Poker :

Mostly 9-man turbo SNG player. Over 3k games, decent ROI, highest limit was 11$.
Also like to play tournaments, I luck box them sometimes :).

Had a blog here before, feel like starting another one for fun. With FTP comming back and me playing on it I feel like I have to start my old habits.
Basically i'll use all my FTP points to convert them into step 1 tickets. Then i'll play as much as I can and try to reach the highest step

Goals

  • Do 500 hands on ICM trainer to warm up after such a long break
  • Reach step 6 with at least 1 ticket
  • Post regular on the blog
  • Review with SNG wiz (if it still works)
  • Watch a new SNG video to get a feel of poker 2012

Giving me 2 months to do that.

I HAVE NOW 28 STEPS 1 TICKET _cool:

Because my blog without beer wouldn't be a blog

Edit : Just realised 28 SNGs is super small, but don't worry, I also have a bankroll on 888 poker so I will most likely grind the SNGs there afterwards and update on that.

Good luck with this, imo sng's are a bit different due to more people knowing they are actually supposed to shove! Most regs are still the same except there are more of them so finding ways to exploit their nitty style is key as you move up the steps, i am sure the lower steps are still really soft. Wb to the pokerz :)

GL!!!

I've always wanted to try something similar, mostly because the lower steps are so soft, but never have the BR to give it a good shot.

will def. be following..

Ironically yes :P

Edit : I've been thinking and it will be hard to go busto with Steps, I mean if top 4 gives something in a 9 man SNGs if I play tight with good push or fold at critical point I should def. be able to have good results...let's hope I don't jinx myself :)

Step 2 tickets : 6
Money in account : 0.95$

Also won't play step 2 until I finish all my step 1:)

well it's your thread so naturally it would be you. I'm waiting on your results 'cause I wanna maybe do something like this. I have ~4000 points at the moment.

I'm also gonna do a wee step challenge over christmas - using $100, so 33 BI. Think that should be enough tbh. Might play the HU shootouts for lower variance though

Really nice challenge, I'll be following this! Coincidentially I'm in the middle of a comeback too, if you remember me I played against you in NL10 a while back.

I'm going over to dload Full Tilt .. now that you mention it I think I have a boatload of points and some a couple $$ I had when Full Tilt disappeared. Might try to do something with those points.
