Hello everybody!

I'm from a small poor country called Estonia! I like playing football and I still study. I'm not a too big fan of reading books which sucks but if needed
I can push myself into reading some- I'm not a good writer. I'm renting an apartment with a few relatives at the moment because my real home is far away from the school I want to and do study at. My english isn't the best either so it'd be nice if some of my followers corrected me if I'm gonna have any, lol.

:spade: Why did I start this blog? :spade:

I started this blog because I'd like to track my progress and hopefully get some connections in future. Also this is would be a good place for me to
write down my goals which will keep me motivated hopefully!

:spade: Meh poker career :spade:

I first played texas hold'em poker on some nooby play money site because some of my classmates had played it. After some weeks I had done really well and played the highest stake tables on that site. After some time pokerstars started having advertisements on TV and I made account on pokerstars. I played with play money until I reached the maximum you could have there.. then I discovered freerolls, god I was excited, I could win some real money without investing any of my own!! So I played them for awhile until I cashed for some cents and that's where I got started.

After making my first cents I got into 9 man regular speed sngs which went fairly well, after making about 100$ I found pokerstrategy. With this sites help I managed to get my roll on sngs $2k+, unfortunately the traffic on 15$ and 30$ 9 man sngs got really low so I decided to switch over to cash.

I had always been a fan of HU play so I jumped straight up into NL50 HU tables (it's the minimum limit on stars for HU). I had no experience whatsoever with cash games so I decided to search for a coach.. I happily found one, he told me that HU cash is really hard, especially if you haven't played 6max or full ring cash before so I started mixing HU with 6max (never really got into coaching though because after a bit I thought I could beat NL50 myself too by reading articles and watching videos on PS). Played about 40k hands on 6max so far and 20k on HU (NL50), not too happy with my 6max, slightly above breakeven. Doing pretty good on HU though :) I'm way overrolled for NL50 right now but I can't be asked moving to NL100 on 6max atleast when I'm slightly above breakeven:(!

:spade: Why do I think I could be successful with poker? :spade:

I think my psychological side on poker is really strong, I can handle swings really well imo. I don't remember the last time I tilted or got mad over bad beats or downswings. I'm sure it has some bad sides aswell- I kinda go careless on how much have I won/lost, thankfully I haven't made any silly plays yet though (by the way I'm not rich or anything irl). Also I'm pretty good at head calculating, I've even gone to some competitions and have got top places over tens of thousands of people. I'm very competitive aswell. I enjoy poker overall, I love playing it and I take it as my hobby which could possibly be my #1 income in future.

So I currently play NL50 HU and 6max, I play 6 tables at once on pokerstars. I'm going to try and find out weather I want to continue with HU or 6max in the next 100k hands or so. I will start posting graphs and results at the end of every month. I'll also try to post some hands I'm clueless at to this blog, maybe some funny ones too but I don't think I'm gonna post some bad beats which is kinda lame in my opinion.

:club: Short-term goals on poker: :club:

[+]Be winner on NL50 6max and HU over 100k hands
[-]Read one article a week
[+]Watch one 6max video every week
[-]Review atleast 200 hands once a week
[+]Play 25k+ hands a month
[-]Post atleast 5 hands a week to hand evaluation forums!

:diamond: Mid-term goals on poker: :diamond:

[+]Choose my main game between HU and 6max (need about 100k hands on each to pick:p)
[+]Beat NL100 6max or HU with decent winrate

[+]Motivate myself somehow into playing longer sessions

 Long-term goals:

[+]Make living with poker
[ ]Win a bracelet!
[+]Reach 100,000$ bankroll

:spade: My irl goals: :spade:

[-]Learn some Finnish perhaps ? :P since I chill with some Finnish people on teamspeak and talk about poker with them. Estonian and Finnish language are a little similar so it should be easier for me to learn it compared to avg person.
[+]Keep going to gym regularly 4-5 times a week
[+]Eat and drink healthy, avoid mcdonalds kind of crap

Currently on a 17 BI downswing but not too worried, hope to win my bins back soon. I went to my aunts birthday on saturday so didn't play a hand. I'm behind schedule on reaching platinum star on stars so need to play A LOT!

Just ended a session with 2-3 bins down or something, anyways gonna watch a movie now and play more later.

I recently moved some of my bankroll to betfair (ongame network). I'll probably put my whole bankroll there once I've been there enough to know I wanna play there long.

People seem to be using chatbox a lot

I'll post graphs at the end of the month. Unfortunately I haven't had any hands that are worth posting yet.

UTG: $8.00
MP: $31.52
CO: $72.70
BTN: $28.95
SB: $30.15
Hero (BB): $44.18

Pre Flop: ($0.45) Hero is BB with 9 :club: 8 :diamond:
2 folds, CO raises to $0.90, BTN calls $0.90, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.60

Flop: ($2.85) 6 :diamond: 4 :club: 2  (3 players)
Hero checks, CO checks, BTN bets $2.10, Hero raises to $6.45, CO folds, BTN calls $4.35

Turn: ($15.75) 6 :club: (2 players)
Hero bets $7.50, BTN calls $7.50

River: ($30.75) T :diamond: (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN checks

Final Pot: $30.75
BTN shows 7 :diamond: 7 :spade: (TWO_PAIR SEVEN, SIX)
Hero shows 9 :club: 8 :diamond: (PAIR SIX)
BTN wins $29.22
(Rake: $1.53)

CO and BTN both are regs, decided to complete because we are deeper than 100bbs with CO.

I think when BTN cbets I thought his range is capped at 22-TT, maybe some combos of KJs+ and CO is clearly giving up so I think it's a profitable raise on the flop while I'm reping some 2 pairs and sets.

The turn card isn't the best for me to continue bluffing but I think I should still barrel to try and make 33,55,77,88,99 and TT (30 combos since I have blockers for 88 and 99, obv he won't fold them all 100% of the times but I'd expect villain to fold atleast 20 combos avg) fold which didn't happen to be the case. Obviously he is calling or raising 22,44,66 (7 combos). (maybe I should had bet .50-1.5$ more)

I don't think he would fold the river to a shove once he had called the turn, especially since FD and straight draws missed.

Unfortunately he did tank call the turn with 77 and I got owned Still think my play was good though.. if you have any thoughts about the hand feel free to post.

So my first month on cash games has ended, not happy with results but considering the facts that I moved software and that it was my first cash games month I think it's fine. In the last 4k hands I played NL30 because of the huge downswing but gonna go back to NL50 in any time soon.

Profit: 440.27$(cash games) + 876.56$(tournament win) = 1316.86$

Obviously I made some with rakeback too but I'm not sure about the numbers so I'm not gonna count rakeback, atleast this month.

U decide to bluff since his range is capped at... the nuts? And u except him to fold a lot of pocket pairs on a low paired board. Makes absolutely no sense

Yeah you got a point, guess I was dumb enough to think that I could make some pairs fold like this.

Haven't blogged for a long time.. for no reason whatsoever
The Ongame network is WAY softer than stars, almost at every table there is fish, on NL30 atleast.

Few days ago I did "lockdown" with friend and agreed to play 5 hours straight with no break. Neither of us gave and we both profited 2-3bins on nl30.

I've been doing pretty ok on NL30 (7.62bb/100 over 17.6k hands) and I'm gonna be playing NL50 tables from now on. 1.5 weeks until christmas holiday so that's nice too, gonna grind so much:DP

Spoiler

Final Pot: $61.38
Hero shows 9 :club: T :club:
BB shows 8 :club: 6
(Rake: $2.00)

BB is aggro reg and BTN is fishy

Preflop

Decided to complete because of the fish, probably should isolate raise because the BB could isolate me when I complete

Flop

Plan is to check raise BB since he can't rep strong K's which he would iso preflop so there ain't many strong hand combos for him to stand heat against a raise (62,K6,K2). I can't find many good arguments for donking the flop, by the way I think one of my weaknesses is not knowing when to donk bet!

Turn

The turn gives me 3 outs to the nuts and I believe I can take the pot down with a bet very often here since nobody showed strength on the flop. However BB decides to raise me, since he was very aggro I think he would have draws and 82,86 for value here only so I decided to 3bet him because I'm ahead of some draws like 75,79,45cc+ss,9Tss chopping + I think he'd sometimes possibly fold Q or J high fd's here if he didn't decide to bet them on flop for some reason.
However he decides to 4bet jam.. hmm, as I said before I thought he would be fairly aggressive with strong draws + 2pair obv but I'm not 100% sure he would jam 82 here so that leaves him 86 for value hand which I have 12 outs against and I decided to call.

Dunno why he didn't vbet that, he soul read me:(

BTN looked like a solid regular

Preflop

std open

Flop

std cbet, when he raises me I put him on 77,TT,flush combos(89hh,Axhh,QJhh,KQhh) and some single card fd's perhaps.. Since it's so small sized raise I decided to call and hope to hit full house if he happens to have flush.

Turn

check folding here, once he checks back I think he very often has sets himself - 77,TT + some fancy played K or A high flushes maybe.

River

Yeah I get to the full house finally but I don't see more value in bet/folding than check/calling. If he happens to have 77 or TT he would raise me and I'd get owned, if he has flush it should be K+ or atleast Q+ and he should bet them himself so I decided to go for check/call.

Haven't blogged for a long time.. I just watched a video by Raskolnikov and it motivated me enough to start blogging again.

I decided that I'm going to move completely over to heads up since I like it more and I believe I have more natural talent for it (I COULD BE RESULTS ORIENTED). I've learned and watched a lot of videos for some days now and I'm really motivated to play and learn every day now!

I will probably try to go for supernova on Pokerstars this year by playing hu only + some lowish-mid tournaments on weekends which tickets I buy for :f_grin:fpps :f_grin:.

This is my all time heads up graph:

bb/100 is 15.11

As you can see my red line is going up in the end, I think it's because of insyder19, watched some of his videos- THANKS!

Had a nice nice day today, played 2 tables against some guy who was nl200 6max regular but new to HU.. Won like 7-8 bins from him and it feels good. He started spewing quite a bit in the end so it was like free money. Unfortunately he decided to quit after 1.1k hands.

Tomorrow I'm gonna move back to the city I study at called Tartu but still will be playing quite a lot I hope! Also I'm trying to watch at least 1 video a day of hu since I possibly won't have the platinum status next month since I'm not tracked on stars and I play on stars now mostly since I play hu.

Yesterday I won biggest pot of my life against fish. Guess I could had raised turn bigger to make it easier shove on river but I guess he would call river shove with T no matter what so a bit smaller sized raise to get value from 2pair hands.

Actually I have now played way way longer sessions than usual, mainly because I only play HU now, it's way more fun for me. I played like 10 hours session few days ago : D

Anyways gonna play some NL100 today for first time ever.. I'll wait for fish at empty table and join a reg at the same time :) Gonna move back nl50 if I lose 5bins because I don't have all my bankroll on stars right now.
