I always second barrel bluff on the turn when its HU and im the preflop agressor and so should u i think.
Never "always" do something.
Here you're a small underdog against his range, and most of his made hand or reasonable draws he would have check/raised on the flop. He might be calling with a gutshot or something aswell, so I agree with the bet for free showdown
