When you say 3b won't work I assume it's b/c he doesn't fold. If so, we can tighten our 3b range towards pure value and take him to value town when he calls.

shoving is fine for 26bbs with an exploitable range vs a fish.

although i dont think i would ship A9o, but small pairs yes.

I didn't do the calcs, but I think shipping 22-55 will be quite a marginal(actually sounds bad to me, but I don't wanna sound impolite) play vs 42 VPIP fish that will go broke with close to 20% range or so. Especially after we are 26bb eff. deep with a BB yet to act. Is that gonna be your default move?

So, say, u don't wanna go broke w A9, would u fold pre instead of shoving?

As for the other advice- sure, I thought of it, but once again- there is BB yet to act, we don't wanna make it 450-500 f.e., BB ships, we know we are dead meat and still- we call due to odds. It just sounds to big of a risk when we are 26bb deep. But yes, I agree with you that there isn't much left to be done. Either we shove or we fold as we flatting is probably the worse option vs an aggro player OOP w awkward stack sizes.

no i wouldnt shove any pair. folding is fine. you risk 1275 to win 200. 6.5:1 risk:reward, its worse than optimal, but its not a horrendous overshove. if you take it on pure cEV its completely standard. the ICM here makes it tricky, but there is no shame in just folding if you are not sure. i dont see anything else we can do. we always have our hands tied in the SB, not much we can do about it.
